Pumpkin Spice Latte
Written by Spencer Studio student 11-year-old Bridget Bartlett, Pumpkin Spice Latte is a delightful duet that captures the cozy essence of autumn.
The opening section is inspired by pumpkins, with a playful use of whole notes representing their round shape. As the music progresses, it transitions into a breezy depiction of fall weather, with leaves floating gently through the air and swirling up and down in response to gusts of wind. The final section brings the light and bubbly joy of whipped cream atop a pumpkin spice latte to life, filled with fun and energetic rhythms.
The note range spans from low G to C above the staff, and the rhythms vary from whole notes to dotted eighth-sixteenth combinations, making it both engaging and charming for young musicians. Perfect for celebrating the warmth and whimsy of the season!
